  Other recommendations that I've seen say that Lying on your side is better for your heart and on your back can cause snoring.

  The main study that I saw showed that sleeping on your stomach is the worst because of the strain on leg muscles and the neck. Pretty sure a clean face and clean pillow case will help prevent issues with the face.
