The word ‘serendipity’ is derived from an old Persian fairy tale called The Three Princes of Serendip. In the story, three princes go out in search of a mythical creature and stumble upon things they weren’t searching for such as hidden treasure and their own pasts In modern times, serendipity is best defined as the luck or chance of finding something good without having been looking for it.

An unplanned, but positive discovery or occurrence. Unexpected good luck.

"There is a fine line between serendipity and stalking"- David Coleman

"Innovation is serendipity, so you don't know what people will make"-Tim Berners-Lee

"Like all photographers, I depend on serendipity I pray for what might be referred to as the angel of chance"- Sally Mann
