The European Commission prepared recommendations to its officials to promote a "holiday period" rather than a Christmas, but the draft was pulled after Vatican complained about it.

According to the Commission's authors, these guidelines encourage attention to a multicultural society, as not all people in the Community celebrate Christmas, so that people from other religions won't get offended. What a ridiculous argument! Are you offended if someone greets other people on their religious holiday? Or by the lack of greeting? When other people celebrate their holidays, it doesn't hurt me, on the contrary, I am glad that there is a real multiculturalism. I have no problem saying Happy Ramadan in a muslim country, or Happy Hannukah to a Jewish person.

When Lithuania was occupied by the Soviets, they tried to make us all gray. There was an idea of ​​friendship between nations, those 15 occupied states were suddenly "made equal". People could no longer be Jews, Catholics, Muslims, celebrating religious holidays was forbidden. Not this leftist movement under the flags of democracy is trying to do the same.
